Hello Apple Support! I just reproduced the "No Audio" issue multiple times doing the following steps: 1. Connect my studio headphones to a USB-C port: Beyerdynamic Impacto DAC + T5p second edition headphones. 2. Press the Siri icon near the clock, say: "Play The Carpenter" 3. Siri recognised the speech incorrectly as "Play The Carpenters" and the Music.app started playing "Yesterday once more by Richard Clayderman". 4. I edit the text removing "s" at the end and press Enter. 5. The Music.app started playing the correct song this time: "The carpenter - by Nightwish". 6. After the song ended, I disconnected my headphones, and tried resuming playback on a YouTube video: no sound. 7. At this point there is no sound in any applications. 8. There are two ways to restore the sound: A. Restart macOS B. Say: "Hey Siri" - Siri will replay with voice. The sound works again. This is clearly a bug in macOS. Final thoughts: I would assume any external audio device which becomes active while connected should be able to reproduce the bug. Can we please forward that information to the software engineers? 2021-01-20
